Who would have thought that fighting a real army with real technology could be more deadly than bullying countries without anything but rifles... 🤔

So, it's not like fighting poor people in sandals armed only with AK's?

Yep, fighting an army as opposed to farmers in Asia or Middle East isn't the same thing.

No modern American or British soldier has ever fought in a theatre where their side did not have absolute air superiority, overwhelmingly one sided artillery, uninterrupted communications, and a solid supply line. Their previous experiences could not have prepared them for the realities of facing a modern military force of a major nation.

An American Marine who went there said they got shelled for six days straight. He said he would have died had he not left. "we were no longer fighting guys in Iraq with sandals and rifles, but the Russian army." The US soldiers aren't used to being hit by artillery.

As a US Marine Combat Veteran, I can tell you, war does not make heroes, it only makes victims. You already are or are not a hero. War won’t make you one.

this is different since your enemy REALLY is fighting back.

The Russians are NOT the Taliban, Syrians, or Libyan's. They are an extremely capable fighting machine. They are the last army you want to be up against.

I spent twenty years in the Army and deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and Korea. I would never volunteer to go to war - especially for another country.

Yeah it turns out when you're fighting an enemy with artillery, air, drones, helicopters and communications, you're the insurgent

Fight to “save Ukraine”? Where were y’all during the CIA regime change in 2014?

"Fight for the free world. Liberate the people of Ukraine". Such ignorance, sheep like. So naive. Mind blowing.

Translation: I went there believing mainstream media that Ukraine was winning and that I could pick off Russians fighting on bow an arrows. The reality was that it was Afghan in reverse, with me playing the part of Taliban.

My grandpa was german, he was in poland, france and stalingrad after the war ended he never speak about the war and never speak in german again the only thing he say is that there is no glory, no pride, no honor in war the only thing in war is horror, death and madness…

Picking a fight with a nuclear power is an act of profound stupidity

It’s insane to me that someone would go to another country to fight a war that has no consequences for their own country and potentially die there

An old soldier once said to me, ' there is nothing glorious in war only death and destruction. Those two things alone. '

I seen an ex US solder on Fox that was in Ukraine and he said " If you don't have military training stay home, you will only get in the way or die" And I thought that was great advice.

I wonder how the volunteers feel, when they learn they are fighting alongside nazi battalians from Ukraine. Azov.

The US is like a boxer who builds up his resume 20-0 on inferior opponents and then comes out to fight Mike Tyson. NOT GOOD.
