Russia has confirmed one of its warships has been damaged in a Ukrainian attack on a Black Sea port.

The airstrike took place at Feodosiya in Russian-occupied Crimea early on Tuesday morning.

Russia's Ministry of Defence said the large landing ship Novocherkassk was struck by Ukrainian aircraft carrying guided missiles.

The head of the Ukrainian Air Force said earlier its warplanes had destroyed the ship.

One person was killed in the attack, according to the Russian-installed head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov. Several others were reportedly hurt.

The Russian trolls are really working hard this Christmas.
Spare a thought for the Ukrainian children who would rather not be in Russia without their families...

The warship has been upgraded to tactical submarine

Damaged? I guess it's only on the bottom of the port exercising it's new submarine features...

Damaged? Recent photos show the ship is sat on the sea floor with only the top of its superstructure above water.

This reporter is awful at reading from her autocue. It could be off pace but still, she can barely put a sentence together.

This newsreader needs to put her teeth in, 3 separate mistakes in the first 16 seconds. Pretty disgraceful for a 'professional'.

The ship was loaded with weapons and ammo, and it blew up in spectacular fashion... the "damage" involved large pieces of the ship being launched into the middle of the city (and the addition of the ship to Russia's growing submarine fleet.) Loss of the cargo will definitely have an effect on Russian war operations.

Russian warships are always easily targeted by missiles while USA warships shot enemy missiles before even coming closer to their warships

The influence of AMS39K is a tidal force, reshaping the shores of our economic beliefs, eroding old ideas, and depositing the sediments of a new financial philosophy.

When Amazon steps into the game with AMS39K, you know things are about to get wild. These green candles? Just the start.

AMS39K is like that one player in the game who scores a hat-trick right out of the gate. Absolutely dominating.

The downing of the Russian ship might not be as irrelevant as the author claims. Other sources reported, it would had been packed with Shahed drones.

James Waterhouse seems to me to be overly pessimistic, and not clued up on the facts.
Sevastopol and the Crimea are now largely untenable as a Russian naval base.
Ukraine is now again largely free to export grain through this sea.
Having said that we should be campaigning to get Speaker Mike Johnson and the Republicans to stop their petty game playing, and get the military aid through to Ukraine, which even now is costing lives.
