In Donetsk these are old Cossack and Greek villages, most founded before Catherine conquered Crimea. Catherine exiled Greeks of Crimea and they settled by rivers in Donetsk.

Thanks for the clarity you give us each few days, from battlefield updates to zooming out and being able to look at geopolitics from the multiple conflicts in the world. I wish more people could explain to the public in the west why it should be important to us and how things are going, a lot less politicians and media would be looking for clout.

Regarding the deep state map, it is the best and easiest to use map, however it was recently taken over by the Ukrainian MOD. While there are no real indications of a change in reporting, only being a day behind generally, I would sometimes double-check with other sources when major things are happening.

A large number of 155mm shells was recently delivered to Odessa via Romania. Russia tracked the shipment and destroyed the storage warehouse in Odessa.

Hey thanks for the update, love your analysis.

Could u plz give us some updates on F-16s.
The air front is the only theatre where Russia has a major advantage and their use of FABs has been crucial to softening of fortified positions.

Just want to know what to expect given that UAF pilots have been in training for a over year now and the challenges they will face against a slew of diffrent russian airframes and air defenses.

I hope the F-16s prove to be more important than previously anticipated as they might help in combined arms scenario.

Warfare has changed so damn much in the last 30years, especially this war where both sides have access to satellites etc.
