⚠️⚠️⚠️ Due to occupationists’ criminal activity at the Zaporizhzhya NPP power unit 4, an incident occurred with a primary-to-secondary water leak
As a result of moving power unit 4 of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP into a «hot» shutdown state, in breach of the license terms and Energoatom requirements, an incident occurred with a primary-to-secondary water leak. There was no radiological release into the environment.
This happened due to a violation of the integrity of the third steam generator located in the containment of the unit. Therefore, the occupying leadership started transferring the ZNPP power unit 4 into a «cold shutdown» state.
At the same time, over the next three days, invaders will move ZNPP unit 6 to hot shutdown, which is another breach of the license terms and Energoatom requirements.
💬 «The incompetent and illegitimate «management» of the ZNPP from Rosatom consistently disables the units of the seized plant. And this crime with intentional damage to the equipment of power unit 4, which led to the violation of the integrity of already three out of the five existing physical barriers on the path of the spread of radiation, the leakage of potentially radioactive primary water beyond the established limits, damage to the expensive equipment of the primary circuit, will be investigated», President of SE «NNEGC «Energoatom» Petro Kotin highlighted.
He added that all those involved in the incident, who continue to carry out Rosatom criminal orders and bring the equipment of all Zaporizhzhya NPP power units to a critical condition, will be identified and prosecuted after the deoccupation of the power plant.
Petro Kotin also reported that the 750 kV high-voltage transmission line was restored – and the ZNPP was reconnected to the main power line yesterday, August 10, at 7:02 pm.
As a reminder, the 750kV ZNPP – Dniprovska power line, which is the main power supply for the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP, was damaged on the night of August 10. After that, the power plant had to switch to its only available 330 kV back-up power line, the disconnection of which threatened the loss of external power (blackout).
❗️❗️❗️The further occupation of the ZNPP by russia, the management of the plant by an illegitimate and untrained ruscist administration, which does not bear any responsibility for the nuclear and radiation safety of the facility, is constantly bringing the ZNPP closer to disaster.
The nuclear and radiation threat can be stopped only by returning control over the power plant to its legal operator – Energoatom!
